October 1, 2004.
Update: I have gotten a few e-mails regarding this site, since the 'political sacrifice' contest is going on at KFI. I have not advertised this site since Sardo lost the primary in March. Sonny made a good showing, and got approx. 17% of the vote. One thing that bothers me about the John & Ken publicity stunt is that, when they had an actual chance to defeat Dreier in the primary, they wanted no part of it. I had e-mailed them Dreier's record, and a link to this website. I suggested they try to defeat Dreier. Yet they refused to give Sardo any radio coverage. John & Ken have considerable influence in a large radio market- I just wish they would have used it when republicans had a chance at a real victory in District 26. I am not taking part in the defeat of Dreier in November in order to elect a pro-abortion liberal democrat. Nor am I interested in all the nonsense hype. If a democrat was elected to district 26, would it be that 'easy' to defeat her in 2 years? And who would run against her, as the republican? We would have every neo-con open-border RINO millionare clown in the state vying for the spot. What a bunch of nonsense. I for one think illegal immigration is a vital issue that needs to be addressed- but yet there are other issues that are of equal and even greater importance. I believe in the sanctity of life and will never vote for a pro abortion candidate of any party. I will sit out this congressional election in November. For the record, I contacted the libertarian candidate via e-mail for info on his platform, but got no response. Good luck with the Dreier circus; I'm not interested. We need to get people educated on the issues when it actually matters, during the primaries; so that we can reform the republican party. Many radio hosts and even Tom Tancredo endorsed Sardo for congress in March 2004; Terry Anderson, George Putnam, Doug McYntire of KABC, Ray Breim and others spoke at a Defeat Dreier rally in February 2004. Heckyl & Jeckyl at KFI wanted no part of that; they wanted no part of endorsing a conservative constitutionalist pro life republican; but yet are frenzied and manic about supporting a liberal democrat. it is utter idiocy. [For the record, I was not connected with the Sardo campaign in any way; just a supporter & activist. I decided to try and defeat dreier after he was a shill for 'arnie' over mcclintock.]. . On another issue: I am supporting Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party for president in 2004. |
"Those soldiers didn't fight for the United Nations and the New World Order. They fought for American Sovereignty. Those men didn't fight for a Social Security Number, a progressive income tax or socialized medicine, or other chains of dependence. They fought for independence. These men didn't grab their muskets and fight for federal gun control laws. They fought for personal liberty. Those heroes didn't risk their lives so that their children would be sent on yellow buses to propaganda mills where they were dumbed down with ritalin and psycho-babble -- told that they couldn't pray to God – and instructed in "Values Clarification." They shivered and worked and drilled and ran and bled and died so that they could raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord."
Michael Peroutka, acceptance speech 2004
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen to set brushfires in the peoples' minds." -
Samuel Adams
"And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever."
THOMAS JEFFERSON

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is this site for?
A. This site is an independent grassroots effort whose goal is to expose David Dreier and his recent voting record and encourage everyone to VOTE HIM OUT OF OFFICE and get a person of integrity in there who actually represents the constituency of the 26th Congressional district.
The California Republican Assembly endorses Sonny Sardo for Congress in District 26 on March 2nd!
The CRA, which was behind the successful referendum on Gray Davis' 'drivers license for illegals' scheme, [SaveOurLicense.com], wants to Defeat Dreier too!
Who the heck is David Dreier?
A. David Dreier is the U.S. Congressman representing the 26th Congressional district in southern California, which includes 636,000 people and spans the foothill communities from La Crescenta in L.A. County to Wrightwood in eastern San Bernardino County.
Dreier is up for re-election on March 2nd, 2004 in the Republican primary. Instead of Dreier, it is time to elect someone who will more effectively represent the Californians of District 26 in the United States Congress.
Dreier is the Co-Chairman of the 'U.S.-Mexico Congressional Caucus', which he launched in March of 2003. (Don't you just love that flag he has on his website, a combination of the United States and Mexico flags merged as one? Presidente Fox has said that he would like Canada, Mexico and the U.S. to be 'one great region' in the future. Perhaps Dreier feels the same way? Yikes.)
Q. Why do you think Dreier doesn't represent his district? Are you some sort of liberal?
A. Not at all.
Dreier is the one who has abandoned his traditional conservatism.
Here are the facts:
Q. But don't Republicans blindly support whatever President Bush says?
A. That couldn't be further from the truth. The citizenry of California does not support this amnesty scheme, and faithful Republican conservatives do not appreciate Representative Dreier pushing an agenda that is against their wishes:
Q. When is the election?
A. The California primary election is on Tuesday, March 2, 2004. [Voter guide]
Q. I'm afraid to vote for someone new. How do I know I am doing the right thing?
A. David Dreier has been in office for many years. Although he has had widespread support in the past, his voting record has gotten increasingly liberal and socialistic over the past several years; Dreier once touted himself as a "proud internationalist". The truth is obvious: Dreier cares too much about 'party' loyalty and his own interests, and too little about the people in southern California who elected him. Perhaps it's time for him to get a real job like the rest of us, and join the real world. Let's help give David Dreier a reality check on 3-2-04.
Q. What does David Dreier have to say about all this?
A. Dreier has recently been on talk-radio shows gushing over this Bush amnesty plan. He was on Hugh Hewitt's radio show on Monday 1-12-04 in the 4 oclock hour, praising Bush's plan and boasting to Hewitt that he 'just got off the phone with Karl Rove ten minutes ago'.
He called into the 'John and Ken' radio show on KFI AM640 on Tuesday, 1-16-04 in the 5 o'clock hour to try and defend his stance after being derided by the hosts and callers for 2 hours straight. His feeble attempt to spin this amnesty into a positive thing only resulted in even more disgruntled calls as well as mocking from the two radio hosts.
Q. Who is Karl Rove? What does he have to do with this?
A. Karl Rove is the 'neo-conservative' adviser and strategist of president Bush.
When Congressman Tom Tancredo "boldly accused Bush of pandering to Hispanic voters and Mexican President Vicente Fox by offering amnesty to certain illegal aliens... Bush adviser Karl Rove exploded with an infamous 40-minute phone call in which he actually stated to Tancredo, "Don't ever darken the doorway of the White House again!"¹
Rove and has pledged to DEFEAT Tom Tancredo by finding and funding a fellow Republican to run against him.
Apparently, Dreier is the kind of guy that Rove really likes.
Q. Who is Tom Tancredo, anyway? And why does he make this Rover guy so angry??
A. Many of you who follow the immigration issue are familiar with Congressman Tom Tancredo, the outspoken heroic Republican from Colorado. Tom heads the Immigration Reform Caucus and is a Constitutional conservative who believes we should enforce our laws and protect our border from invasion. (What a novel concept!) Tancredo won his last election with over 70% of the votes in his Congressional district.
Tancredo is a true statesman and patriot. A man of integrity. I have met him personally and support him 100%. (If you would like a videotape of Tancredo's inspiring luncheon speech from last November, e-mail us at video@DefeatDreier.com.) Congressman Tancredo has an 'Immigration Comment Hotline' that you can call: the number is (202)226-6994.
Q. What is our alternative? Who else is running besides Dreier?
A. I endorse Sonny Sardo for Congress [http://www.sardoforcongress.org] in the March 2 Republican primary. Sonny is a decorated war veteran, responsible businessman, and devoted family man. He supports the U.S. Constitution and sovereignty, as opposed to petty partisan politics as usual. . It's time for a fresh start in the 26th district. Sonny is not affiliated with this website, but I endorse him wholeheartedly not only as a viable choice for Congress, but as the absolute best choice.

Dreier's good buddy Schwarzenegger is confident he can legalize the road for 'undocumented
residents'. He is working closely with liberal democrats to craft a successor to SB60, even though Californians overwhelming opposed it.
"Emboldened and encouraged by Bush's amnesty scheme, unrelenting radical leftists push for new bill to give drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Thanks Bush! Interesting to note that the liberals who support Bush's plan are the very people who wanted to keep Gray Davis in office. |
| Q. Anything else I should know? A. Yes. This amnesty pandering is bad enough, but it's not the only reason to defeat Dreier. He increasingly votes for bigger and more bloated gov't and squanders away our tax dollars. This might be another tidbit of interest to Republicans: There were only two Republicans in the U.S. Congress from CA who didn't vote 'yes' on the recent partial birth abortion ban on October 2nd, 2003. Well I'll be darned, one of them is our 'good ole reliable' Dreier again.
|
He voted YES on the medicare prescription drug plan, which Citizens against Government Waste called a disastrous intrusion into the health care system. This is a prescription-drug entitlement that will cost an estimated Whoops! Make that $534 BILLION.
|
| He voted NO to permit FDA approved drugs to be imported from Canada, Australia, and the European Union. (I guess his adoration of 'free trade' doesn't apply if it benefits Americans?)
|
He fully supported the "No child left behind act", which was an unprecedented extension of federal authority over states and local schools. |
| Dreier opposes Bush's protection of traditional marriage. |
| Here is detailed look at all the specific bills Dreier recently voted on in support of amnesty for illegal aliens. Everything here is 100% verified with direct links to the official U.S. Congressional website, (and also includes official Congressional vote tallies). Be SURE to check out this FreeRepublic.com post, as it contains much more detailed info than I'm including here. |
| Once again, Dreier voted against Republicans in this July 2003 vote that would have stopped federal funds from being spent on the removal of the Ten Commandments. He lined up with liberal democrats to oppose Judge Roy Moore, and opposes the majority of Republicans on cultural issues. See vote talley here. |
| Q. Anything else? A. Unfortunately, yes. On July 10th of last year, so-called "conservative" Dreier voted to squander $1.73 MILLION of our tax dollars on the study of Chinese panda bears, sex habits of old men, Asian hookers, Transgender Indians and sexual arousal experiments. No, unfortunately I am not kidding. I couldn't make this stuff up. Look for yourself at the Congressional record on House Roll Call No. 352, 7/10/2003: Toomey of Pennsylvania Amendment.
They were voting on whether they should STOP the NIH (National Institute of Health) funding on these 5 programs. Is this how you want YOUR tax dollars spent? Good grief. Also note that almost every single Republican in the U.S. Congress voted yes to de-fund these programs. But yet once again, Dreier stands against the conservatives. 177 Republicans voted YES to stop funding of these programs, and only 46 Repubs voted No, Dreier being one of them. On the Democratic side, 33 voted yes to stop the funding, and 165 voted no. Read the sordid details here: House Votes to Continue NIH Funding of Pornographic Experiments Other tidbits of interest: |

Here are some good resources on the 'guest worker' program. The clowns in Washington who support this proposal need to wake up and smell the coffee, and represent the American people as they are elected to do.

Thank you for visiting DefeatDreier.com. Please spread the word and email us to order a DefeatDreier bumper sticker. Be sure to vote March 2nd to help restore limited Constitutional government in this great nation.
